After the earthquake on 20 and 29 May 2012, the church of Pieve di Cento (Bologna), has undergone tremendous damage.
As a result, both the church and its bell tower were declared unfit.
The local bell ringers, determined to carry on the traditions, taking advantage of our moving castle, Jan. 6, 2013, were able to perform in their streets for the feast of the Epiphany.
After months of silence, the population has welcomed the return of the bells to "party."
Reassured by this broad consensus and maximum availability by the municipality, the bell ringers have organized services for traditional Forty held on 17 - 18 - 19 March 2013.
Placing the bells under the striking "Ferrara Porta", were able to carry out their services, protected from the elements of weather (not so favorable in these three days!!). |
